The results from crystallographic studies of small molecules of biological interest have enriched the knowledgebase widely used in various areas of molecular sciences. This includes, but is not limited to, understanding biomacromolecular interactions, crystal and molecular engineering, structure based drug design, computational chemistry and molecular modelling, and the design of novel functional materials.
